Jason Plummer joined Cimbria in 2018 as a Partner with the purpose of further strengthening the firm’s expertise in the due diligence, acquisition, and expansion of agricultural and water companies. Mr. Plummer serves as Director on Cimbria Invest, LLC and on its Investment Committee. He also serves as a board member for Cimbria portfolio company APX10.

Plummer serves as Vice President of R.P. Lumber Co., Inc., a family-owned building materials supplier and home center with over 80 locations throughout 5 Midwestern states, and as President of its subsidiary, R.P. Home & Harvest, a chain of farm and ranch stores with over 20 locations in 4 Midwestern states.  These roles keep him engaged in all facets of business operations as well as managing company expansion via both acquisition and green field site development.  He also serves as Vice President of R.L.P. Development Company, Inc., a family-owned real estate company involved in the development, ownership, and management of a large portfolio of residential, retail, office, light industrial, agricultural, and hospitality properties across a dozen states.

Plummer is also actively involved in managing outside investments and venture capital spanning multiple industries.  He serves on the board of a Midwest-based community bank as well as on the boards of several for-profit and non-profit business and civic organizations. Plummer currently represents over 200,000 constituents as State Senator of Illinois’ 54th State Senate District. In this role, Plummer has a strong focus on economic growth and rural development throughout Southern Illinois and the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Plummer served his nation as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserves.  He presently resides in Illinois with his wife and three children.
